Grant is CEO and co-founder of Nutrition Capital Network, an entity that connects investors and growth companies in the nutrition, health and wellness, natural and organic product industries. Members of NCN include major food, pharmaceutical, supply and consumer product companies, as well as private equity, venture and individual investors.
He is the founder, former editor-in-chief and publisher of Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ), a business he ran for 11 years from 1996 to 2007. NBJ is an executive newsletter and business intelligence service for companies in the nutrition industry. NBJ also publishes a series of market research reports on each segment of the nutrition industry. Grant founded NBJ in 1996 and sold the business to Penton Media in 2001, and continued operating it as part of New Hope Media (owned by Penton) until 2007. He still serves as editor emeritus of NBJ and as co-chairman of the NBJ Summit, the nutrition industry’s top executive conference held on the West Coast every July for CEOs, board members, investors and senior executives.
Grant has served as lead consultant or principal advisor on proprietary consulting, research and strategy development services in both the nutrition and environmental industries over the past 25+ years. He has acted as a third-party advisor in several M&A and financing transactions on behalf of other buyers and sellers. Grant has served as an advisor, consultant or advisory board member for a number of private equity firms, including Global Environment Fund, Sustainable Jobs Fund and Inventages. He has served as a member of the boards of directors of four corporations.
Grant has represented nutritional and environmental industry interests in many government and business forums, testifying before three Congressional subcommittees, and served on advisory committees for the United Nations, OECD, the U.S. EEPA and the U.S Dept. of Commerce. He has B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.Back to About Us
